Welcome to the new website dedicated to singing and the human
voice.
For some time I have wanted to give singing its own space
rather than mix it up with the business hat I wear. So finally,
The Alchemy of Singing is now reality.

I have just returned from the AOTOS summer conference at
the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. It was
great to renew acquaintances and make new ones. The conference
was interesting, and had quite a number of master classes,
which prompted lots of stimulating observations and conversations.
My talk, A New Pedagogy for the 21st Century: Are you in
your Right mind? was given on the Saturday morning. Everyone
came in the room to find a peanut on the seat. That certainly
got people interested in what was coming next. As it turns
out, the area of the brain responsible for language, ego,
replaying old events, that little voice that talks to us
all the time, and old emotional baggage that keeps rearing
its head, all belongs to a group of cells no bigger than
a peanut in the left brain. We had a lot of fun discovering
how to use less of the left brain and more of the right
brain - from the language we use in the teaching studio,
to the way we approach learning songs, to living more in
the present moment. Every thought and action has a domino
effect that creates reaction and has important implications
for how we teach, learn and perform. If you want to know

The most important thing in my life at the moment is my
Energy Healing for Singing work. This is all done with the
mind over the phone and is getting results that even stun
me. It is exciting and so rewarding to be able to work with
singers and teachers using this mode of healing. You can
